The Netherlands Ukrainian Tulip festival was established in 2020 to celebrate the friendship between Ukraine and the Netherlands.
Even during the war this initiative continues and in October 2022 there were 250.000 bulbs transported to Ukraine.
125.000 are planted on Maidan Square and other parcs in Kyiv and 125.000 tulips are planted near the Opera in Lviv and the Memorial Parc.
The gift is a symbol of the strong friendship between the two countries and a token of appreciation and support for the Ukrainian people. Over the past 30 years the ties between the our countries became very strong and The Netherlands is one off the biggest investors in Ukraine. Also during this terrible war we keep supporting our Ukrainian friends.
This festival is an initiative of the The Netherlands-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce
The tulips are provided by Smit Flowers and Flower planet.
