The Ukrainian Dutch Tulip festival was established in 2020 by the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in The Netherlands Mr. Emiel de Sévrèn Jacquet to celebrate the friendship between Ukraine and the Netherlands. Every year there are more then 100.000 tulips planted and in April and May the historic Maidan square is covered in a sea of Dutch tulips. The gift is a symbol of the strong friendship between the two countries. Over the past 30 years the ties between the two countries became very strong and The Netherlands is one off the biggest investors in Ukraine.

The festival also honors the memorable role of the fallen hero’s during the 2014 revolution by a symbolic 1000 tulips for each of the “Heavenly Hundred”.

The official partners are:: The Honoray Consulate of Ukraine in Amsterdam, The City of Kyiv, The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, The Ukrainian Embassy in the Netherlands and UkraineInvest.

The festival is chaired by Mr. Emiel de Sévrèn Jacquet.
